Our sports law practice also encompasses the main transactional areas within the sport sector, including sponsorship agreements, M&A, governance, rules and regulations, transfers, player contracts, and image rights. We represent numerous Nordic and international, high-profile professional athletes in different sports, such as ice hockey, football, track and field, tennis, and golf. We regularly contribute with the Swedish chapter on sports law of international publications, such as The Law Reviews, Chambers Global Practice Guides and Lexology Getting The Deal Through. We regularly appear in the mainstream media as sports law experts.
Our dedicated media, entertainment, and gaming law desk represent Nordic and international broadcasting companies, gaming companies, artists, publishers, management companies, theatres, etc. in matters of licence applications, regulatory issues, advertisement, the protection of rights, and dispute resolution. We also advise Nordic and international clients on advertisement issues on sweepstakes competition clearance, ad clearance both in general and for high regulation products, objections to ad campaigns made by competitors, and requirements received from public authorities (e.g., on statements made in advertisement). Being part of LAWorld’s Advertising and Media Law Group, we can also assist on international advertisement campaigns.
Our approach is creative and solution oriented, striving to give business-minded advice combined with a thorough understanding of our clients’ priorities and preferences.
