This year, the OECD Working Group on Bribery is conducting a Phase 4 evaluation of Sweden, as part of the Working Group’s regular evaluations of the member states’ implementation and enforcement of the Anti-Bribery Convention. The Convention establishes legally binding standards to criminalize bribery of foreign public officials in international business transactions.

In May, a monitoring team with participants from Iceland, Spain, and the OECD Secretariat visited Stockholm for interviews with representatives from the government, authorities, and invited experts in the field. NORDIA’s White-Collar Crime practice group participated through attorneys Joachim Bernström and Erik Sundqvist.

The monitoring report will be published in December 2024. For more information about the OECD and the Working Group on Bribery, visit the OECD Working Group on Bribery in International Business Transactions (OECD).
